No NICs Appear in Hardware Settings No NICs Listed in Hardware Settings Drop Down
This may occur for a couple of reasons.
1. When two system files have been overwritten. Please unzip the attached file and place the two files it contains into your Windows\System32 (or WINNT\System32, depending on your operating system). There may also be other copies of the files elsewhere on your hard drive. Run a search of the driver for all instances of pcandis5.sys and w32n50.dll and replace them as well. After doing so, reboot. This should solve the problem.
2. The other possible cause is VPN client software in stalled on the PC in question. If the above doesn't solve the problem, disable any VPN software on the PC and try again. |
