Capture File Newer Than Your Version of FTS Reading Capture Files If you get an error message saying that the capture file is newer than your version of FTS, you will need to upgrade your version of FTS. Download the latest version of the software from our web site. You can either upgrade your current installation, or install the software in demo mode in a different directory if you don't want to overwrite your production version. Note that if you choose to install the software in demo mode, be sure to rename the FTS folder on your desktop first, or the new installation will overwrite the shortcuts in the folder and cause them to point to the new version instead of the old version. Newer versions of FTS can always read capture files made with older versions, but the reverse is not always true. If you need to read a capture file but do not currently own FTS, download the latest version of FTS from our website. During the installation, you will be asked for a serial number. Enter "view". This will install the viewer only version of FTS, which has all the capabilities of the live product except that it cannot capture data. Once FTS is installed, go to the Frontline Test System folder on your desktop, and double-click on the FTS View icon. You'll get a small Control window. Choose Open from the File menu, and browse to the location of the capture file to open it. To download the latest version, go to www.fte.com/download.asp |
