No Cables Were Found No Cables Were Found If you receive the error "No Cables Were Found" when starting capture or click the Detect Now button in the Hardware Settings dialog, check the following:
FTS is looking for the RS-232 cable set supplied with your FTS product, if you're not using those cables (if, for example, you're capturing RS-485 data), just uncheck the "Notify if Autodetect Fails) checkbox on the Hardware Settings dialog. FTS will stop checking for the cables.
If you are using the FTS cable set, check your connections. You should have the two DB9 connectors from the Routing cable connected to two serial ports on your PC and the Monitor head or Source head connected to the other end of the Routing cable. The connector on the head that identifies it (it has "Monitor Head" or "Source Head" embossed on it) should be the one connected to the Routing cable.
