Framing Errors in Data Capture

If your data (in the Event Display) contains numerous framing errors, one of two things is wrong.

• The I/O Configuration (baud rate, word lenght, parity) is set up incorrectly.  Check that the configuration in FTS matches that of the circuit under test.  If not correct it.
• If you're sure that your configuration is correct and you're using a high-speed card (one with a maximum baud rate of greater than 115.2K, such as the Quatech DSP-100), you may have encountered a bug.  Try changing the baud rate in the I/O configuration to 1/8 of the actual baud rate (for example, if your circuit is running at 9600 baud, set the I/O config to 1200).  If that doesn't give you clean data, try 1/2 or 1/4.  One of these settings should fix the problem.
