FTS4BT Bluetooth^® for Windows XP and Vista

Download the latest version of the FTS4BT protocol analyzer and packet sniffer.

Attention: Starting with version 8.7.12.0 of FTS4BT, you will require a new serial number to install and activate your analyzer. Assuming your Premium Maintenance is in effect, this will be provided free of charge. Please e-mail Sales Support (sales_support@fte.com) and include your old serial number to request your new number.

To check on your Premium Maintenance and to find your current serial number, start your software and click on ‘Help -> About FTS4BT’ and your PM expiration date will be displayed.

1. Firmware 60 – Bug fixes, support for Single Link mode.
    
2. Retransmitted packets now shown in the Summary Pane.
    
3. AVRCP Fragmentation.
    
4. Single Link Mode – Shows only the packets going between the two devices specified in I/O Settings.

Frontline includes two BR/EDR ComProbes with every FTS4BT package, one Primary ComProbe and one Secondary. We’ve seen a proliferation of devices using Interlaced Page Scan, and synching to those devices requires a pair of ComProbes. Rather than requiring our customers to buy an additional ComProbe, we’re including both at no extra charge.

For our customers who already own FTS4BT, and would like to purchase a Secondary ComProbe, Frontline is offering these at 50% off of the list price of US$500 until March 31, 2010. Please contact sales@fte.com for more information.

1. IEEE 11073 version 1.0 – IEEE11073 decoders have been updated to support version 1.0 of the spec.
    
2. GNSS Profile – Decoders for the GNSS have been added.
    
3. MAP Profile – Decoders for the MAP profile added.
    
4. Double click .cfa file –Now when you double click a .cfa file, it will load the Capture File Viewer.
    
5. Now supports v3.0 +HS, including AMP Manager and Enhanced L2CAP.
    
6. There’s a new add-on available for FTS4BT, the 802.11 Add-on. The 802.11 Add-on comes with Wi-Fi sniffing hardware and capture both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi data to a single file. It displays Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the new Coexistence View so that the interaction between the two technologies may observed and analyzed.
    
7. Now supports AVRCP 1.4
    
8. Secure Simple Pairing messages are captured and FTS4BT computes the Link Key from the data in the messages if one or both of the devices under test is in debug mode. FTS4BT can also decrypt messages if the Link Key is provided by the user during the capture process. For more information on SSP, please read our Secure Simple Pairing White Paper.

Free Viewer
The Free Capture File Viewer may be installed by downloading the installer above and selecting File Viewer when prompted. No serial number is required to install the file viewer.

ComProbes
New Bluetooth ComProbes are available now at no charge to FTS4BT users with a current Premium Maintenance agreement in place. These new ComProbes remove the requirement for authorization codes to tie a ComProbe to a specific serial number, so any probe may be used with any FTS4BT installation. Multi unit licenses are no longer required.

Improving Air Sniffing Synchronization
If you are having problems synching consistently, please upgrade your ComProbe to the current (blue and white) model. Synchronization has been improved markedly over earlier versions of the probe.

If you already have the new ComProbe, but have older firmware, please download FTS4BT version 9.3.6.0 above. Instructions for updating firmware are in the Upgrading Your Bluetooth ComProbe document in the Setup folder under your FTS4BT desktop folder.
