NEW FEATURE: Authorization codes no longer be required
Authorization codes are no longer be required if you have the new ComProbe. Multi-user site licenses are no longer required, as any ComProbe will work with any FTS4BT installation.

NEW FEATURE: Secure Simple Pairing
Secure Simple Pairing messages are captured but FTS4BT does not compute the Link Key from the data in the messages. This means that any encrypted data will not be automatically decrypted. FTS4BT will decrypt messages if the Link Key is provided by the user during the capture process.

NEW FEATURE: Extended Inquiry Response
EIR messages are now captured and decoded.

NEW FEATURE: Bluetooth 2.1 Features
The v7.12.17.0 release supports all Bluetooth core specification version 2.1 features, including computing the Link Key for Secure Simple Pairing connections and Extended Inquiry Response. It also includes multi-baud and auto bit rate features for the HSU Option. Firmware 56 is included. Only newer ComProbes can use firmware 56. Firmware 56 is not compatible with the older ComProbes. This release supports both the older and newer ComProbes.

 New in Version 7.8.12.0

USER INTERFACE UPDATE: New Toolbar Icons and Simplified Datasource Window
All product icons have been updated. The icons are in the same locations on the toolbars; we've just updated the images. A document listing all the icons and their new counterparts is available here. Also, we've simplified the BT Datasource window and changed the icon used for synchronization status. The colors have the same meaning as in the old dialog except for white, which means "Stopped". A few infrequently used settings have been moved to the Advanced dialog.

NEW FEATURE: Medical Device Profile
7.8.12 supports IEEE P11073-20601 Draft Standard for Health Informatics – Personal Health Device communication application profile dated August 2, 2007. Includes the Multi-Channel Adaptation Protocol.

NEW FEATURE: SCO Audio Extraction over HCI
We've added SCO Audio Extraction support over HCI. Previously only SCO audio data captured over the air could be extracted.

NEW FEATURE: Frame Display Print
The Frame Display now has a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) printing feature. The new print feature prints one or more frames with decode and summary data via a web browser.

NEW FEATURE: AVRCP Meta Data Prototype
Support for the AVRCP Meta Data Prototype has been added.

FEATURE ENHANCEMENT: LMP Opcodes added to Packet Timeline
LMP opcodes have been added to the Timeline. Opcodes appear below the packet (except for the packets on the bottom of the row, where it appears above the packet). The original opcode, if there is one, will follow the opcode in parentheses. For example, an opcode of "accepted" will display what was accepted in parentheses like this: "accepted (max_slot_req)".
